Colour Availability and Customisation

Colour is an important part of product design! Whether you have a detailed colour scheme in mind or only a general idea of where to start, we can help you choose the perfect colours for your 3D printed product.
We have many options of filament already in stock. If you’re looking for something more specific, then we can order custom coloured filament for you! The available colour options depend on the material you choose for your 3D print. Additionally, we also offer post-processing colour options like painting for an even more customised look.
Custom Colours
We have a wide range of filament in stock in different materials and colours. You can browse through our webshop to see if you find the perfect colour match for your product. If not, don’t worry! Feel free to contact us to discuss what you have in mind. If there’s a very specific colour that you want for your print, you can give us a swatch or sample. We’ll do our best to match it as closely as possible. You could also look at the RAL colour chart and find the option which best suits your needs. If none of the colours we already have in stock are a good enough match, then we can get filament custom made for you (only possible for PLA). Of course, you should keep in mind that this’ll cost a little extra.

Different Materials
Colour options vary depending on the material you choose. PLA is available in the widest variety of colours, and you can also request custom coloured filaments. This isn’t possible with PETG, unfortunately, or with the material used for SLA printing (photopolymer resin). We do have quite a few colour options for PETG on our website though, so you might just find something that fits your needs! The colour palette for SLA printing materials is much more limited, however, and the material properties take precedence over colour options.
Post-processing
If you need your 3D printed product in a very specific colour (or colours), you can always ask us to paint them for you! This is a common choice for SLA prints because they’re easier to post-process than other materials due to finer layer heights. We also do this for prints in PLA or PETG. Usually we sand and spray paint the products, and sometimes even go in with a paintbrush for greater accuracy.
